Wick Caravan and Camping Site Review – 5111-OTS

Wick Caravan and Camping Site Review – 5111-OTS

Onsite Facilities & Activities

The is a friendly, family run Site, which overlooks the Wick River. It is very quiet, secluded and picturesque and yet only a 10 minute walk into the town centre. As it is surrounded by trees it is one of the most sheltered sites in Caithness. Our Site is suitable for total relaxation but still only a short walking distance to the shops, restaurants, cafes, swimming pool. local heritage museum and the Old Pulteney Distillery.

We have 15 hard standing pitches along with various flat grass pitches. There are electric hooks ups if required. The showering facilities have hot water all day and there is a separate dish washing facility. There is a chemical waste disposal point along with a drive over motor home chemical waste disposal point. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the Site, there is a lovely riverside walk where they can be exercised. There is also a Warden on Site over night.

Local Area

Our Site is very popular with people who wish to fish for salmon or trout. Permits must be obtained for fishing on the local rivers and lochs. The award winning Wick Heritage Museum and the Old Pulteney Distillery are extremely popular. Our Site is often used as a base for touring Caithness or the Orkney Islands as the ferries leave from Gills Bay (20 miles away) or John O’Groats (17 miles away).
