Les Petits Camarguais Holiday Park

Les Petits Camarguais is a pretty campsite located in the midst of the rugged Camargue scenery. Just a ten minute drive from the bustling seaside resort of Le Grau de Roi makes this a perfect destination for either a beach holiday or one spent exploring the local countryside. The site has all the amenities you’d expect from a site like this and that includes reception, laundry and restaurant facilities.

You can stay in either two or three bedroom chalets that have separate kitchen and living areas as well as private shower and toilet. The kitchens are really well equipped making self catering so much easier for you whilst the living area will have an additional two sofa beds so there’s lots of room.

Outside there is a set of patio furniture and a barbecue which is perfect for the long warm summer evenings you get in this part of France.

Facilities & Activities at Les Petits Camarguais

There is a great L shaped swimming pool that’s perfect for all the family as it has a shallow area for the little ones. There are also regular aqua aerobics and aerobics classes organised and they have a Jacuzzi and plenty of sun loungers if the classes get too much for you. Sports facilities such as tennis and table tennis as well as boules are on offer and along with the horse riding and cycle hire mean you’re going to be spoiled for choice at Les Petits Camaurguais. You can also hire bikes which make exploring the local area much more fun.

There is a lovely a la carte restaurant on site that specialises in local dishes and where they have themed evenings. The restaurant is also open for lunch. You can also feed hungry mouths with the 22 types of pizza on offer at the take away. All cooked in a wood fired oven it’s just like being in Naples.

During the high season there is an animation team that organise sporting events and competitions as well as quizzes and karaoke evenings in the bar.

Outside of the park, head for the beaches at Le Grand du Roi, they really are very good. You can also track down the local markets but get there early – it’s when there’s most to see. Head to the beach at Plage de l’Esiguette if you are looking for a quieter more remote day out, it’s really peaceful. The Chateau Castries is worth visiting simply because you can’t do France without doing at least one castle.

This was our very first holiday in France and our first mobile home holiday. We booked directly through Yelloh! A decision which I later regretted because all the little extras which you take for granted were not included such as cleaning and cutlery, other holiday providers such as Eurocamp, Canvas and Suncamp I believe include this.

Onsite the atmosphere is very family friend and the facilities are impressive including the pool, children’s park and restaurant. The kids loved the slides and we spent most of our time here.

Overall a really nice family friendly site with pleasant staff and guests.
