Camping Le Soleil Reviews

Le Soleil Holiday Park

Argeles-sur-Mer is one of the Languedoc’s liveliest seaside resorts and it sets a great tone for Le Soleil. Le Soleil has 844 pitches and during high season is a very lively place to holiday. If you’re looking for something less active than low season would suit you best. The site has direct access to the beach and along with its great pool complex makes this a real must visit holiday for all water sports lovers.

There are 844 pitches to choose from and you can stay in either a tent of a chalet.

Tents are two bedrooms (one double) with a spacious liking and kitchen area. You can prepare meals on the grill and rings but the barbecue is a welcome addition and with the patio furniture means family meals in the warm summer evenings. Lovely!

If you like your creature comforts a bit more than you need to book a chalet. With either two or three bedrooms, they really are a home from. Each has a comfortable living room with an extra two sofa beds if you need them The kitchens are well fitted and you’ll not need to worry about cooking, it’ll be a breeze. There is also a barbecue, which along with the patio furniture makes for fantastic family meals in the open air.

Facilities & Activities at Le Soleil

First and foremost the pool at Le Soleil is quite stunning. There are actually two pools with the second being for children. The main pool is a lagoon style pool that has bridges and great places to play wherever you look. It’s also surrounded by plenty of sun loungers if the energy levels start to drop. Best of all there’s even a poolside bar – just swim up and place your order – no need to even get out!

There’s so much activity going on here that you just wouldn’t be able to fit it all in and then you get the beach. You have direct access to a pristine beach with lots of space and tons of seaside activity such as sailing and kite boarding. The site even has its own PADI diving centre where you can do scuba courses. Go pony trekking, play tennis, work out at the gym, the choice is yours there really is so much to do.

Get out of the park and you can take in the local area. A visit to near bye Perpignan really is recommended. It’s a medieval town so lots of history but it is one of the regions glamorous spots so you might even do some celebrity spotting.

Food is the other part of a special holiday and all bases are covered at le Soleil. The restaurant serves fantastic local food as well as all the kids favourites and there is also a take-away for lunch time snacks.

I spent 10 great nights at Le Soleil with my husband and 2 young children. The Canvas mobile home was very comfortable and the decking was were we spend a lot of our evenings. The kids clubs were great, depending on the ages you’ve got a wide selection.

I really liked the evening entertainment although my husband would disagree (I’m right) :) – The pool is great especially since my children were learning to swim, it was a joy to teach them.

The onsite mini market is well stocked on local and well known brands and drinks are of course much cheaper than buying from the bar. You’ve got a number of options for food onsite all of which are more than satisfactory, just don’t expect a la carte type meals.

Great family holiday with a lot of laughs and grazed knees.
