Le Moulin De Paulhiac Reviews

Le Moulin De Paulhiac Holiday Park

Le Moulin de Paulhiac is a very pretty camp site in the heart of the Dordogne. It is full of quaint old world charm and great modern facilities and makes a fantastic place to have a family holiday. Nestling in pretty , mature countryside this park regularly receives a 94% approval rating from its customers and guests come back regularly. The site is spacious and has a range of modern amenities including a reception where they speak English, a laundry and good restaurant.

There are only 150 pitches here which make this a small park but don’t think it’s all sleepy, there’s lots going on to keep you amused. There are two types of tents standard and safari tents. Both have two bedrooms and a separate kitchen living and living area. Patio furniture and barbecues make a great outdoors eating experience a perfect end to your day. Standard tents have new interior and exterior canvasses this year and safari tents, as their name suggests would look perfect on the African Serengeti and come with hardwood flooring and patio furniture.

Facilities & Activities at Le Moulin De Paulhiac

There is a spacious pool complex with four pools with slides and chutes. One of the pools is for toddlers so you can spend time with the entire family round the pool. One of the pools has a retractable roof which means even in poor weather the kids can still use the pool.

You can get involved in table tennis, tennis and boules on site so why not organise a mini Olympics? There’s also basket ball and a children’s games room for extra evening entertainment. The bar is open in the evenings, making it perfect for a few beers while the kids attend the nearby children’s discos organised by the on-site animation team. The river is close by and is perfect for lazy family times looking at the wildlife, walking along the banks or just paddling on the sandy river banks.

There is a good restaurant on site that has a daily plat du jour as well as a children’s menu. The supermarket also sells fresh bread, vegetables as well as great cheese and wine.

Off site there’s a ton of things to do including visiting the five (yes five) famous chateau within easy reach of the site. You could also check out the Aquarium de Perigord Noir with more than 2000 metres of tanks holding fish species from all round the world.

I stayed here last year with my partner just before the school holidays. The site is very pretty and as a relaxing vibe running through it. While it is very family focused couples will still find it enjoyable as long as you don’t dislike kids.

If the campsite becomes a little bit too much the local area includes plenty of interesting attractions and great restaurants.
