Le Clarys Plage Campsite Reviews

Le Clarys Plage is just south of Nantes which makes it within travelling distance for families with younger children. Right on the beach the site has access to some of Frances most stunning sands with fresh clear sea water. The site is a medium sized site and has all the amenities you’d expect starting with a reception where they speak good English.

There are 444 pitches at Le Clarys Plage and you have a good choice of tents or chalets.

The tents are very comfortable, two bedroomed (one double), with a kitchen and living area. They also come with patio furniture and barbecues and canvass walls that are designed to be undone completely to make the most of that living with nature feeling.

Chalets do offer a higher level of comfort and are available with either two or three bedrooms. If you need more space the comfortable living accommodation has an additional two sofa beds. Your kitchen is very well fitted out and you even have a barbecue to go with the outdoor patio furniture. Some chalets even have decking space if you want it.

Facilities & Activities at Le Clarys Plage

The kids are very well looked after with the onsite Fun Station organising events for 4 – 12 year olds every morning and afternoon, six days a week. Activities such as Pirate Mayhem and Superhero Training will keep the kids well occupied whilst Mum and Dead get their share of holiday as well.

The site has a good take away restaurant for feeding the kids and has a supermarket for all your self-catering needs as well

The pool complex at Le Clarys Plage is really good. There are two pools, for all the family with one of them having all the water features you could want. Slides, mushrooms and water fountains abound making this pool very popular with the kids. The site has a good selection of sports activities that includes tennis, footie (well five-a-side) badminton and volleyball and of course there’s the direct access to the beach from which the site gets its name.

The local area has lots to offer and a visit to a local market is worth arranging. They’ll be able to tell you which towns have markets and on which day. Out and about there are some really good attractions including Sealand Aquarium de Moirmoutier and the fantastic Furturoscope with is theme park based upon media and technology – definitely don’t miss this one.

I was lucky enough to visit this campsite during the school holidays.

Yes, it was busy but the campsite is big you can hardly notice. The kids were never bored and in fact I hardly saw them all holiday, so much a for a family holiday. It did free up time for myself and my husband to relax and enjoy the facilities and scenery. Just looking at booking again next year.

Highly Liked. Thumb up 6 Thumb down 2
