La Yole Reviews

La Yole Holiday Park

Just south of Nantes, nestling in green woodland and close to safe sandy beaches is the campsite of La Yole.  The site is located within travelling distance of the channel posts which makes this a great holiday destination for young families.  It’s perfect for half-term getaways as well as longer summer breaks.  The camp site has a great range of amenities ranging from a laundrette to a receptions and supermarket selling fresh bread and local produce.  They’ll also welcome your family dog it you want to bring one.

The park opens between 5th May and 8th September and has 369 chalet pitches that are all screened by hedges giving you lots of privacy.  You have a choice of two or three bedrooms and all chalets come with a private shower and loo.  The living space has sofa beds for an additional two people and the kitchen has everything you need to feed the family.  Outside there is a set of patio furniture and decking if you want it which means that along with the barbecue evening meals will be al fresco and family focussed.

Facilities & Activities at La Yole

You’ll get chance for some serious down time at La Yole when the kids head off to the Kids Clubs organised on site.  With morning and afternoon activities you’ll get plenty of chance to re-charge your batteries as well.

The on-site restaurant serves great local and regional dishes and with its children’s menu will be a hit with all the family.  There is also a takeaway serving pizzas burger and even fish and chips!

La Yole has a great pool complex with three pools and a spa complex.  Two pools are family pools with slides and chutes and the third is shallow and for toddlers. The spa and Jacuzzi have ample sun loungers and are great for just, well lounging really!  You can also take part in a whole range of activities including tennis, scuba and boules tournaments. There is a lively evening programme of entertainment that is focussed on themed evenings in the bar. So – busy all day and night, job done!

If you want to venture out of La Yole there are any number of small villages and towns that are worth visiting.  Small villages with markets and cafes are what this part of France is all about.  You can also visit towns such as St Jean de Monts.  Fantastic beaches and a really chic clientele make this town one of the region’s most elegant places to see and be seen.  There are plenty of attractions but perhaps the best is Futuroscope.  A theme park based around all things media and technology.  It’s very different and well worth a visit.

Five Reasons to Book a Family Holiday to La Yole

Family Travel Guide to Vendee – France

Vendee is a great area for a family holiday. There are some 100 miles of blue flagged sandy beaches that are often fringed with lovely pine woods. The area is rich with history and has more than its fair share of historic old towns and abbeys. To find out more about this area click on the links below;

    We really enjoyed camping at La Yole. The campsite is very well maintained and includes a great pool area. If you are cooking your own meals head to the large supermarket just around the corner.

    We will most certainly go back, hopefully for a little longer this time.
