La Tuilerie de Chazelle Review – 7662-HOK
Onsite Facilities & Activities
The “camping à la ferme” at La Tuilerie offers a generous amount of space for only 6 tents – no caravans or campervans. The campsite is situated in a field that has a forest on one side and is bordered by fields on the other sides. The campsite is open from the middle of May until mid-September, depending on the weather.
Whilst there is no electricity on the site itself, in the toilet block (which used to be the old drying sheds for the tile factory) there are a fridge and a freezer for general use. There are also sockets to enable you to load up your mobile phone, camera etc. These sockets are not to be used for plugging in electric cooking plates or for running private fridges though!
All our guests come for the peace and quiet we offer here, so to preserve this, we have strict rules about noise at night and radios and TVs are not allowed at any time on the campsite and dogs are also not allowed.
L TUilerie also has two gites (holiday houses) for rent.
The 2 gîtes have their own entrance and private area with bbq outside and are available for rent by the week (Sat to Sat) and are designed for 2 people each. One gite is completely on the ground floor. There is a living room with sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs and a kitchen and a bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom. Separate beds can be provided if required. Bed linen and towels are provided. Towels and bed linen are changed at the weekend if you are staying for more than one week. Tourist tax and welcome pack (wine, milk, toasts, jam, butter and coffee) included.
We are in Mâconnais wine region, on the edge of the Côte Chalonnaise & within easy reach of Côte d’Or and Beaujolais. Many viticulturists offer wine tastings . We are well situated for visiting historic towns like Beaune, Dijon, Lyon, Autun, Tournus and Cluny. There are also lots of châteaux, Romanesque churches, cathedrals and beautiful uncrowded countryside to visit near here. The religious centres of Taizé (christian) and La Boulaye (buddhist) are also within reach. The spiritual centre of Taizé is so close you can even walk there if you want. La Voie Verte (a cycle path that runs the length of South Burgundy) passes within a stone’s throw of the property and gives cycling and walking access to many interesting towns and villages.
