La Ferme De La Serraz Holiday Park

Young families and those in particular those looking for action holidays will be knocked out by this great little camp. Set in the middle of the French Alps it has fantastic mountain vistas all around. There is a small friendly reception (yes before you ask English is spoken) and there is internet and WiFi available as well. If you want to the dog is welcome just leash up though! One extra bonus, this site is located very close to the Italian and Swiss borders so how many holidays do you know where you can visit three separate countries so easily? Anyway – back to camp, there is a laundry with drying facilities and the camp does have disabled facilities. Just one thing, please don’t expect Butlins in the Alps. This park is all about peace quiet and providing you with a great base to explore the mountains and near by lakes.

La Ferme De La Serraz is open from 5th May to 9th September and there are just 187 pitches with a great choice of chalet types. Chalets range from two bedrooms 25m2 to three bedrooms 32m2 chalets. Whatever size you choose they all have separate bedrooms, with one double room and the others twin bedded. There are compact shower/loos and each chalet has separate living and kitchen space to make for a real home from home. Your kitchen has everything you need to pull together great family meals as well as having a barbecue for a memorable outdoors experience. Chalets are also available with decking to really complete the outdoorsy feel of your holiday.

This is our third trip to the French Alps with Eurocamp although we’ve on stayed at La Ferme once – Annecy is a popular area and our first choice wasn’t available. Unlike other campsites we stayed at it doesn’t have a teen disco, water chutes and the social areas are quaint – if you want a loud busy campsite try somewhere else.

The area is lovely to walk and you can also hire a bike – more white knuckle activities are available. The lakes are beautiful.

Overall a nice and neat site.
