Quay West Holiday Park

Set on a pretty cliff top location, Haven Quay West offers spectacular views across Cardigan Bay to the site of boats bobbing up and down in New Quay harbour. With a short woodland nature walk separating you from the glorious beaches of Cardigan Bay this camp site is perfect for families looking to spend time in the outdoors enjoying everything this part of the coast has to offer.

Families staying at New Quay have a wide range of caravans that they can choose between. With eight different types of caravan there is something that will suit every family’s needs and budget. Standard caravans are perfect for those wanting a base for an outdoors holiday while others such as the top of the range Platinum caravans offer a much more home from home experience whilst the Summer House caravans are designed with a coastal themed layout. Whatever caravan you choose they all come in either two or three bedroom layouts and along with the sofa bed in the lounge this means you can sleep up to six or eight people. All caravans have private loos and showers and along with the cosy lounge (TV included) there is a fully working kitchen with all the mod cons.

Facilities & Activities

It wouldn’t be a summer holiday (or a half term getaway0 without swimming and you are spoiled for choice at New Quay. As well as the miles of glorious sandy beach New Quay also has two heated pools, one indoor and one out. The indoor pool has a paddling area for those children who are yet to get their water wings while the outdoor pool has an outdoor splash zone that will keep the children amused for hours. There is also a program of organised water activities that includes the free of charge Learn2 Swim. Other activities such as Aqua Gliders, AquaJets and Water Walkerz are offered on a regular basis.

Quay West has a good range of food outlets and restaurants to help you keep your family well fed during your stay. The Mash and Barrel bar and restaurant is open all day serving breakfast, lunch and a full three course dinner in a bright and cheerful environment. If it’s holiday time then take away has to be on the men so head over to Papa Johns Pizzas where every pizza is cooked fresh, to order.  Self catering is also made easy with the great facilities in your caravan. There is also an excellent SPAR convenience store on site which means that even food shopping is straight forward and stress free.

Entertainment is non-stop at New Quay. There is a full program of entertainments in the morning and afternoon that is aimed at the children. The four Kids Clubs offer activities carefully targeted at different age ranges which means the kids get chance to meet other youngsters giving Mum and Dad some quality time off. Evening entertainment has a definite family feel to it with a series of special shows provided during the summer season.

This part of South Wales is rich in history and visits to Carew Castle and tidal mill provide an interesting introduction to it. Never far away from the sea you can also take bass fishing trips from nearby New Quay. Colby Woodland Garden provides a great opportunity for a relaxed day out, getting closer to nature and if gardens are really of interest head for the National Botanic Gardens of Wales in Carmarthenshire.
