Primrose Caravan Holiday Park

This large, wonderfully landscaped park offers a wonderful spot for a family holiday. Either a longer break in the summer or a short half term getaway and Primrose valley is perfect for both. With a footpath that gets you down to the wonderful sandy bay below, what spot could be better for a beach holiday? The park has superb sports and activity facilities and the entertainment program is perfect for families.

When you decide to stay at Primrose Valley you have a choice of nine different caravan types. All of them come with either two or three bedrooms and with the double sofa bed in the lounge you can sleep either six or eight people at a time. All the caravans have well fitted kitchens that are equipped with everything you will need to prepare meals for your family. The lounges are all comfortable and come with heating, usually a gas fire, and TVs. Each caravan also has its own bathroom with shower and loo. Standard caravans make a perfect base for an active family looking to make the most of the facilities on offer in the park while other, more expensive caravans such as the Summer House and top of the range Platinum have a higher standard of fixtures and fittings and have much more space. There is also a range of caravans that have been adapted to suit the needs of guests with mobility requirements. With specially designed kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms these caravans are also perfect for those guests who want to holiday with a registered assistance dog.

Facilities & Activities

You will certainly never be stuck for things to do at Primrose Valley. The sports and activity program is extensive. The park has an all-weather multi-sports centre and tennsi courts but for those who like their activity a little different, try the ropes course with its climbing wall and abseiling ropes. Traditional coaching is on hand if you want to give your football or basketball skills an edge. For something totally different there are also sessions in archery and fencing. Entertainment does not always have to be sport at primrose valley. There is a boating lake – perfect for messing about in the afternoon and sticking with the water there is a coarse fishing lake where you can try your hand. Bungee trampolines, laser combat and crazy golf are also on offer.

Of course, it’s the seaside holiday and that means swimming. The beach is wonderful but if you prefer there are two spectacular pool complexes. The indoor complex consists of a multi-level pool with water buckets and spouts everywhere you look. Indoors there is also a more standard swimming pool that is perfect for, well…swimming. Outdoors and the wet fun continues with a lovely pool that has a fantastic sun deck and is perfect for family fun around the pool. There is also a program of organised activity in the pools that includes a free session Learn2Swim and other sessions including Turbo paddlers, Walter Walkerz and Aqua Jets that are available for a small extra charge.

Entertainment is also on offer all day and every day. Morning and afternoon sessions such as NEW Girls on Film, Polly’s Swim a Song are aimed squarely at the children while evening entertainment with a distinctly West End style approach is perfect for the whole family. There are also four Kids Clubs – aimed a quite specific age ranges which mean the kids can enjoy activities that are suitable for them and also get to meet new friends of a similar age. Best of all, they also give Mum and Dad some quality time to themselves.

You can feed yourself and the family really easily with the self-catering facilities and the onsite SPAR convenience store is just that – convenient! It means you can stock with all your food needs without needing to leave the park. If you want to take it easy – and why not – then there are a number of choices. The West Pier Burger Restaurant does what it says on the tin while the mash and Barrel is open for early breakfast, grabbing a quick lunch or a three course meal in the evening. Takeaways will also be in demand and there is a superb traditional chippy that sells REAL chips (not French Fries) and serves freshly caught sustainable fish. Now what could be more seaside holiday than that!
