Orchards Caravan Holiday Park

Mid-way between historic Colchester and famous Clacton-on-Sea sits The Orchards Holiday Park. Just outside the pretty village of St Osyth this camp site is perfect for fishing, golf and boating activities. The park has direct access to a sandy/pebbly beach. With a 9 hole golf course and two fishing lakes this park really offers something above and beyond the normal caravan park holiday experience.

When you decide to stay a The Orchards you have a wide choice of accommodation. There are six different caravan types to suit all budgets and needs. All caravans come in two or three bed roomed format and with the two sofa beds in the comfortable lounge areas will sleep either six or eight people. Each caravan has its own lounge area with a kitchen and shower and toilet. The Prestige and Deluxe Plus caravans are furnished to a luxury standard while the Standard and Standard Plus caravans are perfect if you are looking for a more basic caravan as you only want somewhere to rest your head after a busy day out and about.

The Orchards also has a number of caravans that have been adapted to meet more specialist needs. People with restricted mobility will find the carefully designed bathrooms perfect for their needs. These caravans are also suitable for visitors with guide dogs or registered assistance dogs.

Facilities & Activities at Haven Orchards

No holiday would be complete without family time spent in the water. The Orchards has two fantastic pools, one indoor and one outdoor so you can get into the water, whatever the weather. Both are heated and thanks to the sunshine roof you can still enjoy outdoors light when you use the indoor pool. The indoor pool also features as paddling pool for the smallest members of your family. To keep the interest levels high there are also a great range of organised water activities to take part in.

There are plenty of other activities on offer at the Orchards. As well as golf and fishing there is an all weather bowling green, fencing, with coaching for adults and children as well as tennis football and archery. There is an onsite sports court that has a fun pitch and putt as well as trampolines and there are coaching lessons on offer here free of charge.

Activities are also provided in the Orchards Kids Clubs. Four different age ranges with activities aimed carefully at each age group so that Mum and Dad can leave the kids in the capable hands of the staff and look forward to some serious relaxation themselves.

Food and retail therapy are also catered for very well at the Orchards. As well as a SPAR convenience store which is perfect for your self-catering purchases, there is also a takeaway which is perfect for an easy lunch and a gift shop where you can buy all those mementos and pressies for Mrs. Smith who’s looking after the cat.
