Littlesea Holiday Park

Littlesea Park is set in a pretty, secluded location meaning your holiday here will be relaxing right from the moment you arrive. The camp site overlooks the spectacular Chesil beach with its 18 miles of pebbles graded from large boulders at one end to shingle at the other. Part of the UNESCO World heritage site, the Jurassic Coast the coast is also home to the famous Weymouth beach which is just two miles from the camp site.

When it comes to somewhere to stay, there is a superb choice of caravan accommodation at Littlesea.  There are eight different types of caravan to choose from. They all have either two or three bedrooms of which one is a double. Each will sleep up to six or eight people with room for two little ones on sofa beds in the cosy lounge space. The caravans have well equipped kitchens that are perfect for holiday catering as long as you aren’t planning to entertain royalty.

Each caravan also has its own toilet and shower room. Exclusive to Littlesea are the Retreat caravans. These caravans have been inspired by the traditional beach huts, loved of British beaches across the country. They are decorated in light seaside tones and each has its own decking which is perfect for spending time together on warm balm summer evenings.

Top of the range, the Prestige and Platinum caravans are a full 12 feet wide and are furnished to the highest standards. If you are looking for an outdoors holiday and only want somewhere comfortable to rest your head the Standard and Standard Plus caravans will really fit the bill.

For visitors who have mobility problems there are also caravans that have been modified to suit the needs to people with wheelchairs. Guide dogs and registered assistance dogs are also welcomed in these caravans.

Family holidays will always revolve around food and Littlesea makes meal times straightforward. There is a onsite SPAR store that is well stocked with everything you need to make meal times as easy as possible. You might also want a night off so there a number of dining outlets on the site. The Mash and Barrel is Littlesea’s own gastro pub, serving good beer and tasty meals throughout the day. Why not take the kids there and eat out for breakfast – they’ll love the novelty! Easy meals at night can be found at Papa John’s, eat in or take out, great pizzas and great memories.

No seaside family holiday would be complete without time spent in the pool. At Littlesea there are two to choose from, an outdoor complex and an indoor one for those days when the weather is not at its best.  Both pools are heated and the outdoor pool has large sun terrace with loungers as well as a paddling pool. Fully trained lifeguards patrol the pools all the time so you can relax, sure that the children will be being watched all the time. If homemade fun in the pool is not enough there is a range of activities organised on site. Some are free and others require a small payment but the fun includes Pool Kayaking, Water Walkerz, Aquajets and Learn2Swim.

For the really active, there are a range of sports available on site. Great fun can be had with coached sessions from qualified instructors in football, fencing, archery and tennis. There are also tennis courts and roller blading facilities on site. During the summer season you can also expect a lively program of entertainment including talent show competitions and west end musical events.

Mums and Dads need time off as well and the Kids Clubs are perfect for keeping the children entertained while you chill out. There are four age groups that feature music, crafts and sports activities aimed at specific age groups.. There is also a club that is not called a club – perfect for those who are too grown up to be seen anywhere near a kids club.

Dorset is also packed with great places to visit so your holiday does not have to be spent entirely on the camp site. Visit Brownsea Island, the place in Pool Harbour where the scout movement was founded, and if history is your bag, why not track down the ruined castle at Corfe. Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are also two wonderful beaches that are also within easy travelling distance to Littlesea.
