Kiln Park Holiday Park

Set on a glorious Blue Flag beach that is a short stroll from the main site, Kiln Park is one of the best beach holidays in Wales. Located close to the picture postcard pretty seaside town of Tenby, it is a perfect destination for a family holiday, either during the summer months or for a half term break is Spring or Autumn.

Families wishing to stay at Kiln Park can take advantage of the touring and camping facilities. There are 130 pitches that are suitable for tourers, tents, trailer tents and motor homes. Each pitch is either grass or hard standing and all have a grass parking area next to the pitch itself. For ease of use, just pitch up and plug in with the electricity supplied. There is also a shower block with 40 loos and 20 showers as well as baby changing facilities.

For those who prefer their creature comforts on holiday look no further than the Kiln Park range of caravans. There are eight different grades of caravan ranging from Standard to Platinum. The standard caravans are perfect for those families looking for a base for an outdoor holiday while those looking for family time together may like to choose the higher standards and specifications of the other grades up to and including Platinum. Whichever grade you choose all come with fully equipped kitchens, loos and showers and comfortable lounge area with TV. They have either two or three bedrooms (your choice) and along with the sofa bed in the lounge area can sleep either six or eight people.

Facilities & Activities

Visitors staying at Kiln Park are never short of things to do. There is an extensive activity program for both children and adults that make this park great fun for active families. There is a large grass sports field that is perfect for impromptu knock-abouts and makes a good space for organising your own five-a-side games. There are also all weather tennis courts available. You can also book coaching sessions for football and if you are interested in something a bit different why not try archery and fencing. Time to Play sessions are organised regularly for the children and include activities such as Bush craft and Nature Reserve. For younger children there are also B-Fit sessions with Rory the tiger and Learn2Bike amongst others.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a seaside holiday without swimming and as well as the glorious Blue Flag beach that is a short stroll away you can also use the parks indoor and outdoor pools. Both are heated and the indoor pool has a newly refurbished changing area. The outdoor pool is perfect for those summer afternoons and it also has a water splash dancing area that will keep the kids amused all day long. With a raft of Kids Clubs, aimed at four different age ranges there is also plenty of opportunity for the kids to meet and play with other children of the same age. It also means that Mum and Dad get some important quality time to themselves.

Feeding the family on holiday can sometimes be hard work but things are easy at Kiln Park. First your caravan has a well equipped kitchen; all you need is food to cook!  Kiln Park makes this easy as well as there is an onsite SPAR convenience store where you can buy all your foodstuffs without needing to leave the park. If you fancy a break from the kitchen then you can head over to the park’s Mash and Barrel bar and restaurant where you can pick up a meal at any time of day, breakfast, lunch or even a three course dinner. No holiday would be complete without its share of takeaways and with a choice of papa John’s Pizza and a traditional fish and chip shop the choice is just perfect. During the summer season there are also regular barbecues organised.

With all this going on it is easy to forget that you are staying in the heart of some of the best Welsh countryside. Head out of the park to go bass fishing in Cardigan Bay, visit the seals on nearby Caldy island or take in a breath of history at Carew Castle and tidal mill. You are in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast national Park so the scenery is stunning wherever you turn.
