Haven Hafan y Môr Holiday Park Reviews

| On 17, Dec 2013

Hafan Y Mor Holiday Park

Cardigan Bay, the Welsh Mountains and 500 acres of the parks own private space make Hafan y Môr an idyllic destination for a family holiday. Located on the beautiful Llyn peninsula the camp has a gently sloping access to its own beach. It also features pretty rock gardens as a theme throughout the park and offers some lovely woodland walks as a way of getting the family to experience the natural world first hand.

One of the best things about Hafan y Môr is the choice of accommodation that is available to visitors. The park welcomes touring and camping visitors and has 75 pitches designed for tourers and motor homes. All Euro pitches are accessed from the road and have a hardstanding gravel base. There is a heated shower block with 11 WCs and 6 showers. Shaving and hairdryer points are also provided.

For visitors looking for  a few more creature comforts for their holiday, Hafan y Môr offers a range of other accommodation choices. Choose from nine types of caravans with either two or three bedrooms. Add to these the two additional sofa beds and you have accommodation for either six or eight people respectively.  Standard caravans make perfect places to base yourself if you are looking for a truly outdoors holiday while the more luxurious models such as Luxury Lodges and platinum caravans offer more space (considerably more in the case of Luxury Lodges) and a higher standard of fittings. Whichever caravan you choose you will have a kitchen with everything you need to cater for the family and private showers and toilets also increase the comfort levels considerably. Specially adapted caravans designed with special access needs in mind are also available. They also make perfect holiday homes for people with registered assistance dogs such as guide dogs. For those with families who prefer even more space there is a range of chalets and apartments that feature spacious open plan layouts with modern furniture and fittings.

Facilities & Activities

A holiday spent at Hafan y Môr can be active or totally relaxing. The grounds are laid out with relaxing, concealed gardens that are just perfect for getting some down time in the afternoon sun. Realistically, if you are bringing your children you will be interested in the great program of activities. The park has direct access to the beach which means a perfect location for a seaside holiday. If you prefer your water less salty then there is a stunning indoor pools complex. The complex has a wonderful roof that floods the pool with natural light to create an outdoor feel. The pool has a number of different swimming areas with flumes and slides and a paddling area that mean there is something for everyone.

As well as being left to their own devices there is also an organised activity program based around the pool For a small fee you can take part in a number of fun, and unusual activities that include Turbo Gliders, Walter Walkers and Learn2Swim.

There is also an extensive program of non-water activities that will keep even the most active children busy. The Indoor SportDrome means that you can play your favourite sport undercover whatever the weather. There is a very exciting Rope Works course where you can step out for an aerial adventure in full confidence. The Rope Works adventure consists of a climbing wall and abseiling down as well as Leap of faith and Zip Wire challengers – perfect for all those budding adrenaline junkies. If you fancy a relaxing afternoon why not take a boat out onto the parks own boating lake. If you still have the energy then check out the

Laser combat. Other activities also include bike hire and kart hire, adventure golf and go karts so don’t expect to have any time to yourself unless you plan it that way!
