Caister Caravan Holiday Park

Norfolk is one of the prettiest counties in the country with its popular Norfolk Broads and the Haven Caister holiday park is ideally placed to take advantage of both the Broads and the nearby bright lights of Great Yarmouth. It is also located with direct access to a long sandy beach which you get to by just hoping over a few dunes at the edge of the park. All of this makes Haven Caister just perfect for a family getaway during the long hot summer as well as a shorter half term break.

The park has an excellent range of facilities and welcomes tourers of all types. Tents caravans and trailer tents can all be accommodated on the parks Euro pitches.  Hard standing pitches are perfect for caravans and tourers while grass pitches are available for those with tents. The Euro pitches all have electricity supplies and come with a parking space alongside.

For visitors looking for a few more home comforts Haven Caister has an excellent range of caravans to choose between. With room for four or eight people in two or three bedroom models there are also two sofa beds meaning you can accommodate up to eight people. Ranging from the Standard model, to the Retreats models, all have comfortable lounges, toilet and shower facilities and a fully fitted kitchen. Top of the range models have more space and are fitted with more modern fixtures and fittings. There is also a range of caravans that are fitted out for those people with special access needs. These caravans are also perfect for visitors who need the help of a Registered Assistance Dog.

If you look forward to a little more storage space (for all those shoes and handbags?) then you might prefer to stay in one of the new chalets. Again, in two or three bedroom configurations these comfortable homes from home really do provide you with more space.

Facilities & Activities

No seaside holiday is complete without swimming and you have a great choice at Caister. First, there’s the beach, and what a beach it is. There are mile after mile of golden sands, just over the dunes at the edge of the park that are perfect for summer days out for all the family. You may prefer to use the pool and Haven Caister has a fantastic indoor pool that is perfect, even when the weather lets you down. With a multi-lane slide, a bubble pool and lots of water activities that include Aqua Jets and Water Walkerz you will find it hard to drag the kids away from the pool.

When you do manage to drag the m away there is plenty of sports action going on at Haven Caister. For the daring amongst you there is a climbing wall with abseiling while those who are interested can also take part in coaching sessions in football, archery, fencing and basketball. Bike and kart hire make for even more thrills whilst crazy golf is perfect for those wishing to take things a little more slowly.

Mums and Dads need a break as well and this is where the Kids Clubs come in. Four different clubs for children of different age ranges, 0 -4, 5 – 8, 9 -12, and 13 plus mean that there are always activities offered to keep any children occupied for that all important downtime for Mum and Dad.

There is also a good choice of meal time solutions. There is a SPAR convenience store where you can stock up with your favourite food which means you can make use of the self-catering facilities without leaving the park. You can also eat out at the Mash and Barrel Bar and Restaurant where you can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner in comfortable surroundings. There is also a traditional chippy serving freshly cooked fish and real, chip shop chips while for the ultimate treat, take the kids to Papa John’s Pizza for a freshly cooked pizza takeaway – magic!

The park also features an entertainment program for adults as well as children. Day time entertainments as well as evening shows mean that during the peak season there is something going on all the time at Caister Holiday Park. If you feel the need you can escape the hum of the camp and explore the Norfolk countryside. You can take your time and relax with o boating trip on the famous Norfolk Broads, check out the BeWilderwood outdoor activity centre or even visit the bright lights of Great Yarmouth for all the traditional seaside fun you could want for.
