Situated overlooking a beautiful sandy beach, close to the Buchan Line cycle and walk way, and near to a golf course,tennis, indoor swimming pool and the town centre and supermarkets, our small family friendly site is ideal for bird and dolphin watching, surfing, watersports or just lazing by the sea. Fresh North Sea fish is available locally. We have all basic amenities including laundry and internet at reasonable prices, and as a not for profit users cooperative will do our best to accommodate your requirements.
We can accommodate caravans, motorhomes and tents, with or without electric hook up. We have ladies and gents washrooms with free showers, laundry and dishwashing area with tumble drier and iron, and limited internet facilities. We have direct access to the beach from the site, including for small boats etc. we also have some seasonal and serviced pitches (for static caravans). we are open 1st April until the last week in October.
Popular local attractions, as well as the sea, include the Lighthouse Museum, Heritage Museum, gannet colony at Troup Head, Loch of Strathbeg RSPB reserve. There is also Maggie’s hoosie, an historic dwelling, and the Mealmill at Sandhaven. Not far away is the Whisky and Castle trail, and we are about 70 miles to Culloden battlefield. Our rates start at £10 for a small tent and go up to £20 a night. we offer discounts for walkers and cyclists, senior citizens, ACSI, Caravan Club and C and C club, as well as our own FCCC members. Please ask. we usually have spaces but in the summer and at peak times it is advisable to book. Our office hours are 2 to 6 pm daily.
