Domaine De Massereau Holiday Park

Think France, think wine and this park is built in a vineyard and the theme of wine crops up regularly. The vineyard is in the grounds of a chateau so you really couldn’t get more French if you tried. The park regularly gets a 90% approval rating from customers so it really is something special. You’ll find all the amenities you’d expect including a reception, laundry and restaurant.

There are only 120 pitches which makes this perfect for a holiday with a young family. If you are looking for a big and brash campsites with activities organised all day long you’ll be better trying another campsite in the area.

Your accommodation is lodge style accommodation and each lodge, looking not unlike an Alpine chalet has three bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen (including dishwasher) and a patio area where you can eat meals cooked on the barbecue that’s also provided.

Facilities & Activities at Domaine De Massereau

Of course there are great places to buy food, including the sites own minimarket but if you feel like a night of catering duties then head for the restaurant. Small and very French they specialise on local dishes but they do provide a children’s menu for less international taste buds. There’s also good take-away which is perfect for lunch times or less formal evening meals.

For such a small site you’re spoilt for choice with three pools to swim in. One is for toddlers and the other two are for all the family with water slides and chutes to keep the kids amused all day long. For Mums and Dads, there is a Jacuzzi and a sauna for resting those aching bones. You can hire bikes for exploring the local countryside and there are regular vineyard tours and wine tastings arranged on site.

Outside the site there are any number of towns and villages and a trip to the local market is worth organising so the kids can see that food doesn’t come in plastic all the time. Aqualand Cap d’Agade is a great day trip with 20 attractions and a trip to the Perrier factory to see how the famous mineral water is made is also good day out.

Five Reasons to Book a Family Holiday to Domaine De Massereau

  • Alpine chalets accommodation
  • Small and peaceful site
  • Great swimming pools
  • Perrier factory (just me then?)
  • Dishwasher included

Family Travel Guide to Languedoc – France

You can’t really get much further south without crossing the border to Spain. This part of France is known for its long warm summer days and fantastic cuisine and is a real draw for many Brits. You can find out more by clicking the links below;

    A relatively small campsite with a quiet relaxing family vibe. The pool area and slides are popular with the younger crowd. While activities are organised during the day it is quiet in the evenings. You can cook your own food or try the onsite restaurant which was surprisingly nice.

    This site is perfect for couples or families wanting a relaxing fun holiday. The only real downside is the long drive, if we were to go again I would consider a different method of transport.
