Why camping by the beach is a must for your family

Camping is not only one of the best family activities but one of the best activities you can do full stop. There is no other holiday that gives you the sense of adventure and the feeling of being connected with the great outdoors that camping does, when you can share that with your family though and teach your children some valuable life lessons for the future whilst having a good time it makes it even better. The greatest place to go camping is definitely somewhere near the beach, it gives you the best of a camping holiday but combines it with a relaxing sun holiday which means the kids will enjoy it much more, during the day you can go and relax on the beach in the sun, play a few games, go swimming in the sea and then in the evening you can have a nice barbecue and set a camp fire up. You can spend all day by the beach and have a fantastic time then if you want a break go for something to eat elsewhere or go for a walk/bike ride around the cliffs. I will list some of the best areas in the UK, France and Spain that combine the best beaches and camping facilities.
Ladram Bay, Devon, UK

The brilliant thing about Ladram Bay is that is combines the amenities you would get if you were staying in holiday cottages in East Devon with a simple campsite by the beach. Ladram Bay Holiday Park has its own private beach as well as a large indoor heated swimming pool and numerous bars. Because they aren’t simply a campsite and do have some holiday cottages on site as well, this means that the facilities are built to that of a proper holiday park. There is a crazy golf area, a cafe by the beach, a large sports field and even an internet zone. You can make the holiday in to whatever you want.

Port La Chaine, Pleubian, France

Port La Chaine has all of the amenities you would get at a top campsite from washing facilities to restaurants, bars and swimming pools. The major selling point of it however, is that it looks over the ocean and you are literally a 2 minute walk away from it. The area is very picturesque and is absolutely beautiful to walk around. It is in North West France meaning if you are coming from the UK it isn’t too far to travel.

Cala Llevado, Costa Brava, Spain

This is more of a ‘wild’ holiday; there aren’t the same amenities around as in some of the other places but you make up for that with the scenery. Your pitch could literally be situated at the top of the cliffs looking down on the four private beaches owned by the campsite. It is a beautiful area and the weather is always fantastic. If you like beaches and camping by beaches then this is likely to be your dream location, there are plenty of coastal walks to do during the day and restaurants to visit at night.
