Onsite Facilities & Activities
Balgair Castle Holiday Park is rurally situated on the banks of the River Endrick, prized by locals for its excellent Salmon fishing and picturesque walking trails. The park has a lot to offer both adults and children including an outdoor adventure play area, a games room and an outdoor heated swimming pool where you sit and relax or take a swim. For those of you who are looking for something a little more active the area boasts many cycle paths of varying difficultly which can be explored at your leisure.
Balgair Castle welcomes dogs and as well as a dog exercise area beside the river, has basic on-site facilities for them.
The park has two shower blocks which contain wash hand basins, toilets and showers and are cleaned regularly and maintained to an excellent standard.
The laundry facilities on site are housed in an easily accessible block and include washing machines, tumble dryers, ironing boards and irons. Washing powder etc. can be purchased on site.
Balgair Castle Holiday Park offers seasonal entertainment for children and grown ups which includes such things as an annual talent show. There is a bar with pool table on site which opens seasonally and a Bistro serving family favourites is open all season.
Balgair Castle Holiday Park has something to offer even the most seasoned self-catering holiday maker. With no minimum or maximum stay required
you can pitch up a tent for one night, stay in a campervan for the weekend, spend the school holidays with us in a caravan holiday home or leave your tourer with us on a long let basis for ease and freedom.
The park offers both hard-standing and grass pitches (the difference being one is a more durable ground surface) for tourers, motorhomes and caravans, each has electric hook up and parking for 1 car.
The park accommodates families and couples with the central heated and double glazed, 2 or 3 bedroom caravan holiday homes proving a popular choice amongst both. Each caravan is provided with towels, bed linen and kitchen equipment, and prices include gas and electric.
Tents are allocated to large grass pitches and campers have the use of the laundry and games room, and can enjoy a hot shower in one of the site’s two washblocks.
Visitors to Balgair Castle Holiday Park have the choice of making their trip as relaxing or action packed as they like. As it’s situated on the banks of River Endrick, fishing fanatics can cast off until their hearts are content or take a waterside stroll or cycle. More adventurous types may wish to make the half hour journey to Loch Lomond where a wealth of water sports awaits them which they can follow with a meal and a few drinks in one of the many local restaurants.
Golf is also a popular pastime in this area and with several golf courses nearby you can wile away the hours quite easily. Gleneagles is arguably one of the world’s most famous golf courses and Balgair Castle is lucky enough to have it and its fantastic amenities virtually on its doorstep, with it being only a 30 minute drive from the park.
The nearby town on Fintry is well within walking distance of the park and plays host to all sorts of wet and dry weather activities including bowling and squash, dining and drinking. If you go a little further afield the cities of Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh are available to you and offer the choice of many tours, museums, castles, shops and restaurants.
